Whaaa! Our (mine and Chrissy’s) get-in-shape-for-summer alarm is ringing. Healthy food, that’s what we need! So today, we are enjoying this delicious strawberry fields smoothie. I’m sure you know fruit and superfoods are healthy, but do you know what it does for your body in detail?               I didn't! Chrissy -also known as our FEE healthfreak ;)- explains! 

This delicious smoothie is made up out of strawberries, raspberries, banana, soy yoghurt, chia seeds and flaxseed, topped with raw nut muesli. Strawberries are full of anti-oxidants that protect against heart disease and cleanse the body from toxins. Raspberries contain even higher levels of anti-oxidants and are even used in Chinese medicine! Bananas are full of fibre and potassium that give you an amazing energy boost. Soy yoghurt is not only super tasty, it offers high quality vegetable protein and very little ‘bad’ saturated fats. Chia seeds are the highest in omega-3 that can be found in nature. It improves brain activity, lowers your cholesterol and improves your overall health! Flaxseed contains omega-3 and -6, vitamin B1 and 2, calcium, magnesium, zinc and potassium!  Muesli and nuts are also a great source of fibre, releasing the energy slowly to get you through the day! 

Tadaa, now you know it all! I bet you’re in the mood for one of these sweet tasting babies!
